Scientific activity

Research and publications focused on new institutional economics, the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), entrepreneurship and innovation policies, industrial clusters and regional innovation systems.

Research projects

  • 2023-2024 – Conditions for the development of energy clusters in Poland; funds for statutory research of the Faculty of Management and Social Communication, Jagiellonian University (principal investigator and project manager).
  • 2021 – Transformation of the bank and banking sector through digital technologies – economic and social aspects, Project “Excellence Initiative Research University”, Priority Research Area “Society of the Future”, Jagiellonian University (investigator).
  • 2020-2021 - The importance of intellectual resources and knowledge sharing in the contemporary economy), Project „Social and economic consequences of 4.0 industrial revolution” within the program Regional Excellence Initiative, Małopolska School of Public Administration of the Cracow University of Economics (investigator).
  • 2017-2019 - EU Regional and Innovation Policies and Peripheral Regions (EURIPER), co-financed by the European Commission under the Jean Monnet Projects Action of the Erasmus+ Programme (Project Reference: 587410-EPP-1-2017-1-ES-EPPJMO-PROJECT) (the Polish team leader, investigator).
  • 2017-2019 – Best practices of V4 countries for SMEs Development in Azerbaijan, International Visegrad Fund’s Visegrad University Studies Grant, Western Kaspian University, Azerbaijan (expert, investigator).
