How to apply for the Business and Finance Management (BFM) master's degree programme at the Jagiellonian University step by step?

Step 1: Check the admission requirements

  • Completed undergraduate degree (bachelor's/engineering) or equivalent
  • Language certificate of at least B2 level (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, CAE), unless you have completed your studies in English

Step 2: Create an account and register in the Online Application (IRK) system

  • Go to: irk.uj.edu.pl
  • Create an applicant account
  • Fill in the application form, choosing the field of study: Business and Finance Management (second-cycle studies)

Step 3:  Ready? Enrol!

  • Select your studies in the IRK system and in the ‘Course’ tab click ‘Enrol’.

Step 4: Pay the enrolment fee

  • By fast transfer or credit card in the Przelewy24 system or by bank transfer in PLN.

Step 5: Take part in an interview (online)

  •  You will be informed of the details by the exam committee via your IRK account.

Step 6: Check if you have been admitted!

  • You can do this in your IRK account on the day the results are announced.

Step 7: Confirm your intention to study in the  IRK system

Step 8: Start your studies

Once you have been formally enrolled, pick up your student ID card and start your studies at the Jagiellonian University!

Which degree level are the studies in Business and Finance Management?

Business and Finance Management is a full-time, second-cycle programme offered by the Institute of Economics, Finance, and Management at the Jagiellonian University. The course leads to a master’s degree.

What is the content of the Business and Finance Management curriculum?

The Business and Finance Management full-time programme has been prepared for graduates from first- and second-cycle programmes in the fields of management, economy, finance, from faculties of economy and engineering, law and administration, psychology, sociology, and other fields. This second-cycle programme develops competencies necessary for a career in specialised fields and managers navigating the global socio-economic space. It includes obligatory and facultative courses, such as Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Psychology of Management, International Management, Financial Analysis, Financial Auditing, Financial and Capital Markets.

In order to graduate, students must accumulate 120 ECTS credits, with 94 coming from compulsory courses

Where are the classes for the Business and Finance Management course held?

All Business and Finance Management course classes take place in the Faculty of Management and Social Communication’s modern building on the Jagiellonian University Campus (Campus of the 600th Anniversary of the Jagiellonian University Revival) in Ruczaj (ul. Łojasiewicza 4).
